Looking After Your Glasses
Keep your favourite pair feeling good. Simple habits, clearer lenses and a helping hand when something needs attention.
Clean lenses. Clearer days.
Rinse away dust under lukewarm running water before wiping. Use a lens-cleaning product suitable for your lenses and coatings, following its instructions.
Gently dry with a clean microfibre cloth. Wash the cloth regularly without fabric softener.
Skip your shirt, paper towels and household glass cleaners. If you’re unsure which product to use, ask us first.
Prefer a helping hand? Glasses cleaning is complimentary in-store.
Back to the top ↑Little habits. Happier frames.
- Use both hands to put your glasses on and take them off.
- Keep them in a protective case when you’re not wearing them.
- Avoid resting them lens-side down or pushing them onto your head.
- Keep them away from high heat, including hot car dashboards.
Slipping, pinching or sitting wonky?
We offer complimentary frame adjustments and alterations in-store to help your glasses sit comfortably.
If your frames slide down, press behind your ears or sit unevenly, bring them in and tell us what you’re noticing. We’ll assess the fit and make suitable adjustments.
Don’t bend the frame or apply heat yourself. If you’re unsure whether your glasses can be adjusted, contact the team before visiting.
Back to the top ↑Getting to know your new lenses.
Follow the wearing guidance given by your dispensing optician and ask us to explain anything you’re unsure about.
If your new glasses don’t feel right, tell us what you notice and when it happens—reading, looking into the distance or using a screen. Bring your glasses and prescription details so we can discuss the next step.
There isn’t one settling-in timetable for everyone. Contact the team if you’re struggling rather than waiting for a fixed number of days.
Back to the top ↑Frame repairs. Lens refreshes.
We assess damaged frames in-store. Where possible, we can repair them on the spot; other repairs may need to go to a specialist laboratory.
If laboratory repair is needed, we’ll provide an estimated cost before sending your frames away, so you can decide whether to go ahead.
Scratched or scuffed lenses can be replaced with new lenses through our reglazing service, subject to frame suitability. You can also discuss a different tint or a coating such as blue-light filtering when choosing replacement lenses.

Keep any loose parts and bring them with your glasses. Avoid glue or forcing a bent hinge back into place.
Back to the top ↑What to bring when you need a hand.
- The glasses you need help with, plus any loose parts.
- Your current prescription and order details, if available.
- A note of the problem and when you notice it.
- A spare pair if you have one.
Cleaning and frame adjustments are complimentary in-store. For repairs or new lenses, the team will discuss the options and applicable charges with you.
