Life doesn’t happen at one distance

Varifocal lenses

Distance, intermediate and near vision in one lens, with a gradual change in focus and no visible dividing line.

How do varifocals work?

Varifocals, also called progressive lenses, combine areas for different viewing distances. The upper area is generally used for distance, the middle for intermediate tasks and the lower area for reading.

Are they all the same?

Designs differ in the viewing areas they provide. Tell us about your screen work, reading, driving and hobbies so we can discuss a suitable option.

A personal fit matters

Your prescription, frame fit and individual measurements matter. Getting used to a new design can take time; we’ll explain how to use your lenses and help with any fitting concerns.
